Worcester (Noah) is born in Hollis, New Hampshire.

Noah Webster fights at the Battle of Bunker Hill, and subsequently becomes a minister and a pacifist. He arrives in Boston in 1813 and lives near today’s 437 – 439 Washington Street. Worcester publishes what comes to be considered a classic of antiwar literature in 1814,* founds the Massachusetts Peace Society in 1815, and serves as editor of its quarterly, The Friend of Peace (1819-1828). He is appointed postmaster of Brighton in 1817.* Worcester dies in Brighton in 1837 and is buried at Mount Auburn Cemetery.
